Regular Meeting of PIAA District 6 – September 8, 2005
Chairman Wotkowski called the meeting of the District 6 Committee to order at 3:30 PM at the Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School. Present were: Raymond Wotkowski, Dean Rossi, Albert D’Ambrosia, David Crumrine, Don Hosterman, Vince Nedimyer, Alberta Ake, Gary Jubas, Norman Krumenacker, Thomas Kakabar, Susan Werner, Kenneth Bussard, James Price and Michael Hudak.
Approval of Minutes
On a motion by Thomas Kakabar and James Price, the minutes of the August 2, 2005, were approved.
Communications
Chairman Wotkowski received a letter from PIAA Board of Directors regarding displaced student-athletes from the Katrina hurricane. A copy of the letter is included with the minutes for review.
On a motion by Thomas Kakabar and Dean Rossi, the following District 5 schools were granted permission to participate in the District 6 Championships for the 2005/06 school year:

On a motion by Vince Nedimyer and Don Hosterman, the District 6 Committee unanimously approved the August Financial Report.
Eligibility Hearings
On a motion by Susan Werner and Norman Krumenacker, Josh Conti was granted eligibility to participate in football at Homer Center based on Article III, Attendance, Section 3 with a 14-0 vote.
On a motion by Susan Werner and Norman Krumenacker, Thomas Boyd, transferring from Bishop McCort, was granted eligibility to participate in football at Johnstown based on Article VI, Transfer and Residence, Section 8 with a 14-0 vote.
On a motion by Norman Krumenacker and Don Hosterman, Myron Coleman, transferring from Bishop McCort, was granted eligibility to participate in football at Johnstown based on Article VI, Transfer and Residence, Section 8 with a 14-0 vote.
On a motion by David Crumrine and James Price, Robert Lourie, transferring from Roosevelt, was granted eligibility to participate in football at Bishop Guilfoyle based on Article VI, Transfer and Residence, Section 8 with a 14-0 vote.
On a motion by Donald Hosterman and Alberta Ake, Angela Curry, transferring from Blacklick, was granted eligibility to participate in softball at Bishop Carroll based on Article VI, Transfer and Residence, Section 8 with a 14-0 vote.
On a motion by James Price and Albert D’Ambrosia, Zachary Land, transferring from Northern Cambria, was granted eligibility to participate in basketball at Bishop Carroll based on Article VI, Transfer and Residence, Section 8 with a 14-0 vote.
On a motion by Dean Rossi and Susan Werner, Luke Geisbrecht, transferring from Bellwood, was granted eligibility to participate in football and basketball at Penn Cambria based on Article VI, Transfer and Residence, Section 8 with a 14-0 vote.
On a motion by Albert D’Ambrosia and Michael Hudak, Madeline Kawchak, transferring from Somerset, was granted eligibility to participate in sports at Bishop McCort based on Article VI, Transfer and Residence, Section 8 with a 14-0 vote.
On a motion by James Price and David Crumrine, Christopher Kawchak, transferring from Somerset was granted eligibility to participate in sports at Bishop McCort, based on Article VI, Transfer and Residence, Section 8 with a 14-0 vote.
On a motion by Don Hosterman and Susan Werner, Ali Saadat, transferring from Somerset, was granted eligibility to participate in soccer at Bishop McCort based on Article VI, Transfer and Residence, Section 8 with a 14-0 vote.
On a motion by David Crumrine and Susan Werner the eligibility for Justin Baumgardner was tabled until October 4, 2005.
